21st Birthday!

It was my 21st birthday on Thursday, December 1! It was such a fun day from morning to night. I woke up to my parents singing me happy birthday with some breakfast in bed (tradition), then went to the gym. I came home and got all showered and went to Great Harvest for lunch with the girls. Mom, Kallie, Abby & Erica! (Parker's sister who I just love-we missed Lori, his mom!) It was so fun! I got the cutest outfit for my mission from Abby.

All I wanted for my birthday this year was a day to pamper myself. SO, my cute mother got me a spa day! I got a lovely facial (my first EVER) then an amazing 90 minute massage THEN a pedicure.  I absolutely loved it. Although, it would have been really fun to have my sisters & mom there.

my pedicure

After my glorious spa day, we went to Brick Oven to celebrate. Very yummy! I got some awesome books for my mission and an incredible journal that I can't wait to write in from Kallie and Dan. Thanks guys!

To top it all off, my lovely boyfriend Mr. Parker, made my day so special. I got this big package from him Monday that I had to wait til Thursday to open it! So hard, but worth the wait. In it were two cards: one funny & one serious. Then the cutest little San Diego Temple recommend holder (my favorite temple), he has the same one and then the biggest, cutest, most thoughtful blanket ever. It is a big blanket full of pictures of us! The cutest thing ever, really. My mom and I about cried as we saw it. All of the trips we went on together, us after he was set apart and older pictures of us in our earlier days of dating. I absolutely loved it to say the least. He is the most thoughtful person, I am so lucky!

This is a bow made out of mormon.org hand outs! So cute.
best blanket ever.

Some turkey football!

We always play football for Thanksgiving with our whole family! It's so fun, except when all the boys get really competitive and they forget to throw the ball to us girls! Oh well, we aren't that good anyway. It is still fun with the whole fam. Here are some pics!

My mission papers were definitely a process. I had to get my blood drawn at least 3 different times, carry around a urine bucket (gross i know) and I had to get so many shots! A few pics from that..

AND I still need more shots! The perks of going out of the country on a mission :)

Making Pies!

We have our cousins in town for Thanksgiving! We all made pies at Abby's house. It was so fun and they turned out great. I can't wait to eat them tomorrow along with EVERYTHING else we eat.

Missing my grandma this time of year to help with all the pies!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanks & Giving

I can't wait for Thanksgiving this year!! One of the best Holiday's for sure! I have been thinking a lot of about the holidays lately and how excited I am! Only a couple more days..

After this year, I'll be in the Philippines!!
CRAZY! Probably eating dog or bugs for dinner :)

Some shopping

My first time at Saver's. Best/worst experience. Everyone told me to get my missionary clothes there because you will just trash your clothes anyway. They had some cute-ish stuff. But the perk was that-that was my first and only experience shopping without looking at the price tags ;) I've always wanted to shop like that and I did! $100 later..I got like a million outfits!!
Such fun day of shopping with my mom and sisters and good food! I never thought I would say it was a fun day of shopping at "savers" I have come pretty far! ;)

Love Monday's because I get to hear from my lovely missionary.  Here are some pics from his mission! Isn't he cute? I think so too.

Modest is Hottest

First day wearing the g's! My REALLY modest outfit. On the hottest. day. ever. Garments are an adjustment.

I love to see the Temple..

Loved going through the Draper Temple. One day I'll never forget!

Opening of the call...

I got my call September 14, 2011. Scariest and best day of my life.  I was surrounded by a few friends and my whole family to share the opening of my call! We were all soooo shocked!  And now, I can't imagine myself going anywhere else.

Quezon City, Philippines Mission. Speaking Tagalog. I report January 11, 2012.

I was so happy to have my whole family there (minus Garron-we missed you). I can't wait to go serve! It will be such a great experience.
